Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Center Campaign

The American Heart Association reports that every 37 seconds, someone in America dies from cardiovascular disease and in California, heart disease is the single leading cause of death. Undoubtedly, you have known someone whose life has been impacted by this disease. As the population of our region ages, the number of deaths from heart disease will continue to increase. The demand for life-saving cardiovascular services is also expected to significantly grow and Mercy General Hospital is working hard to prepare for this increasing need in our community.

Fortunately, Mercy General Hospital has one of the top cardiovascular programs in the country. To meet the current and future needs for superior cardiac care, the state-of-the-art Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Center is being built and will house a cutting edge cardiovascular care facility at Mercy General Hospital. The new building will consolidate all cardiac care services into one location, allowing for more effective and efficient delivery of care for the community and even better outcomes for each patient – saving more lives, more often.

While our community has responded generously to this important project by giving of their time and financial resources, additional funding is necessary to ensure the success of the Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Center.

Join countless others in support of this significant project and help keep our region on the forefront of exceptional cardiovascular care.
