Gala Celebration and Sisters of Mercy Endowment
On November 3, 2007, more than 400 friends of Mercy Foundation gathered at a black-tie gala to honor the Sisters of Mercy for 150 years of services to those in need in our community. This grand finale event featured a choir of 100 students from local Catholic high schools, an orchestra of 60 musicians from Concerts of All Hallows, and several leading soloists, who provided entertainment for an incredible and inspiring evening.
At the gala celebration, Mercy Foundation launched the $10 million “Sisters of Mercy Endowment” campaign to support the works of Mercy for many years to come. Ensuring support for the Sisters of Mercy’s work creates a lasting legacy that guarantees those in greatest need will continue to be served by critical ministries.
Because needs are ever-changing, this endowment will provide the Sisters the flexibility to respond to needs where they are most critical now and into the future.
