Theatre Gala Opening to Benefit Mercy Foundation
The Folsom Telegraph - Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Mercy Foundation will be one of two beneficiaries of the Palladio Cinema Sneak Preview Charity Event, sponsored by Elliott Homes and Cinema West, on Dec. 9 in Folsom.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Mercy Foundation to benefit the telemedicine program at Mercy Hospital of Folsom, a nationally certified primary stroke center giving patients the most advanced stroke care available.
Complete with “paparazzi,” red carpet interviews, local celebrities and movie impersonators, the Palladio Cinema Sneak Preview Charity Event will have all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood premiere experience and is expected to attract more than 1,000 guests at its VIP reception and public screening.
“We are pleased to be named a beneficiary of this exciting event. The generosity of Elliott Homes and Cinema West will enable Mercy Foundation to support efforts to reduce the incidence of stroke and improve treatment options for this life-threatening and disabling disease,” said Sister Bridget McCarthy, president and CEO of Mercy Foundation.
Contributions to Mercy Foundation for Mercy Hospital of Folsom’s telemedicine program will help enhance programs and services allowing Mercy’s specialists to provide the best possible care for patients suffering from stroke, the third leading cause of death in the U.S. and the leading cause of disability in adults, according to organizers.
The Palladio Cinema Sneak Preview Charity Event will mark the grand opening of the new, largest solar-powered movie complex in the world and Sacramento region’s only all-digital projection theatre.
Tickets to the public screening can be purchased at goPalladio.com for $20 per person, which includes the full Hollywood red carpet experience, a viewing of one movie premiere, popcorn and soda.
