Elderly Patients Get New TVs

Patients at Bruceville Terrace received new flat-screen televisions installed in their rooms thanks to generous donations to Mercy Foundation. Good Day Sacramento reporter Jackie Tranchida reported live at Bruceville Terrace on May 5.
The Toshiba 32-inch flat screen televisions will be mounted on patient room walls, allowing for more floor space for residents to get around in wheelchairs and walkers. The recent transition to digital technology has made many of the older televisions in patient rooms obsolete. Flat screen televisions are digital ready with clearer picture that keep patients connected to the outside world.

While donations from employees and members of the community helped Mercy Foundation reached its $125,000 goal as part of the “Windows to the World” initiative to replace all 172 bulky televisions in patient rooms at Bruceville Terrace, funds are still needed for the maintence and up-keep of the technology. Your gift can help Mercy Foundation maintain windows to the world for our residents for years to come.
