Outright Gifts
Helping those in need in your community can lead to unequaled personal and emotional fulfillment. There are as many different ways to support the works of Mercy as there are needs in the community. You can help provide opportunities for Mercy Foundation to meet current needs by making an outright gift, which can also generate an immediate charitable income tax-deduction for you in the year in which you make your gift and may be composed of almost any asset of value:
Gifts of Cash can be made through credit card transactions, outright cash or personal checks made payable to Mercy Foundation. Pledge or promissory note contributions over a number of years are also an option to make meaningful giving easier. Donate online to make an easy, secure and confidential gift today.
Gifts of Appreciated Stocks and Bonds also provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to Mercy Foundation before they are sold. By giving appreciated securities to Mercy Foundation, you can avoid capital gain taxes that will be due as a result of its sale.
Gifts of Real Estate, including home, farm, second home, apartment or commercial building, shopping center or undeveloped land, enables Mercy Foundation to make significant investments in the works of Mercy. It can also provide you with the opportunity for valuable income tax and estate tax savings.
In-Kind Gifts are non-cash gifts and can be a non-monetary contribution of equipment, supplies, corporate services/facilities, professional services or other property that will benefit Mercy programs and services. In-kind gifts are tax-deductible. Please contact Mercy Foundation to learn if the proposed non-cash contribution would be appropriate for Mercy.
