Mercy Clinics
Many of those served by Mercy face impossible choices – paying rent or seeking medical care, for example – as they struggle to balance their daily needs while working in low-wage jobs or living on fixed incomes. Others, unemployed and homeless, have no source of healthcare.
Building healthy communities for all residents is a core mission for the Mercy family of hospitals, with a special focus on those who are unable to access primary medical services for basic needs. Mercy’s free clinics at five locations provide primary healthcare for nearly 20,000 patients each year, all of whom are low-income, uninsured or underinsured.
- Mercy Hospital of Folsom, in partnership with the Folsom/Cordova school district, operates two clinics: Folsom Family Clinic and White Rock Family Clinic.
- Mercy General Hospital offers a full range of family practice services to North Sacramento’s residents at MercyClinic Norwood in Del Paso Heights.
- Mercy San Juan Medical Center operates MercyClinic North Highlands, serving families in the surrounding area.
In collaboration with county agencies, Mercy operates a special clinic for the homeless. MercyClinic Loaves and Fishes, an urgent care clinic, sponsored and managed by the Sisters of Mercy, to provide medical services to homeless people.
Each of these clinics requires ongoing donor support for muchneeded staff time, medical supplies and educational materials. Help us care for the most vulnerable in our community by making a generous contribution.
