Sacramento, CA, April 13, 2009 – Long-time Elk Grove resident and community leader, Lisa Lent has been selected as Mercy Foundation’s Chief Philanthropy Officer for Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, the Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) hospital serving south Sacramento County. Lent will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of fundraising activities, including fostering relationships that will include a mix of major individual gifts, planned gifts, foundation grants, and online, grassroots appeals for Methodist Hospital and the south area.
“Having been a fan and supporter of Mercy Foundation, I am honored and excited for the opportunity to share the Mercy story with my community and friends and introduce them to this wonderful organization,” said Lent.
Prior to joining Mercy Foundation, Lent has been a volunteer organizer and fundraiser for the Strauss Festival of Elk Grove for more than 10 years. She is also the former volunteer of the year for the Sacramento Chapter of the American Cancer Society. And in 2008, Lent and her husband received the Elk Grove Citizens of the Year award for their passion and commitment to the south Sacramento area.
“Lisa genuinely cares about the people and the needs of this community,” said Kevin Duggan, Mercy Foundation Vice President of Philanthropy. “Her established relationships and ability to connect with individuals and business partners will be extremely valuable to Mercy Foundation as we continue to raise awareness and funds for quality programs and services to provide compassionate care to patients and those in need in the south area.”
Currently, Lent is actively involved with the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Elk Grove.
