Donor Recognition

Email This Page Print This Page Change Font Size
Mercy Foundation values each gift it receives regardless of size or purpose, and gratefully acknowledges all donors to the works of Mercy.

Friends of Mercy
Friends of Mercy are at the heart of Mercy Foundation’s efforts - making it possible to change the lives of others for the better. Donors will be recognized as a “Friend of Mercy” the first time they contribute an annual gift minimum of $100, and again at various levels up to $10,000.

The McAuley Society
Moved by the needs of persons suffering from poverty, hunger and lack of shelter, in 1831, Mother Catherine McAuley founded the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland. Named after this remarkable woman, the McAuley society honors the faithful support from donors who have made lifetime, cumulative contributions totaling $10,000 or more toward the works of Mercy.

The Mercy Legacy
The Mercy Legacy recognizes individuals who have included Mercy Foundation as a beneficiary in their wills or living trusts. Your plan to support Mercy leaves a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Planned Gift
Planned gift donors who make contribution such as gifts of life insurance, charitable trusts, gift annuities or others will receive recognition based on an equal value/present value calculation. Membership in the McAuley Society will be limited to those donors making an irrevocable planned gift(s) of $50,000 or more.

For more information on how you can give to support the works of Mercy, e-mail your questions to Mercy Foundation or call us at

Making a difference

Tim and Elanie Purkis founded Friends of NICU, a program supported by Mercy Foundation to help families who are going through tough times in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The program is dear and near to the Purkis’ when in January 2006, their twin boys, Ryan and Matthew were born 10 weeks prematurely. They spent many weeks in Mercy’s NICU and with the help of friends, family, doctors, and nurses the boys are doing great today.

“It feels great knowing we are actually making a difference! Our partnership with Mercy, through Friends of NICU, helps us lend a hand to those families so that parents can focus more time and energy on their baby/babies.”
