Welcome to Mercy Foundation

Mercy Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to raise funds and community awareness for the ministries of the Sisters of Mercy in the areas of healthcare, education, affordable housing, and care for the poor and the elderly in the greater Sacramento region.

More than 150 years ago when the first Sisters of Mercy arrived in Sacramento, they came in response to the needs of those who were poor, sick, and uninstructed. They emphasized the dignity of the individual, the sacredness of all life and a spirit of hospitality that welcomes all in need, no matter age, race, ethnicity or income status. Today, through the partnership and collaboration of thousands of caring individuals and foundations, Mercy continues to make a difference.
