Last year, many of you joined Mercy Foundation for "Blues for Baby & Me" event, an evening of entertainment, laughter and amazement, to benefit Mercy Perintal Recovery Network (Mercy PRN), an outpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment program for women who are pregnant and/or who have young children.

We're back again and we have a stellar line-up of babes for you!  You know, there are a lot of famous babes in this world: Babe the Pig, Babes in the Wood, Babe Didrickson, Babe Ruth (the man and the candy bar!)…but none as famous as those who will rock your cradle this February!

No “Maybe Baby” about it - an array of stars will definitely gather in Sacramento for one night only! How’s this for some baby driver talent: the Monkees, Frank Sinatra, Regina & the Originals, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Dean Martin…and even Sweet Baby James (ie: James Taylor!) Trust me, you’ll be glad you stepped out with your baby this evening.

Please join us and our Babe of an Emcee, Peggy Shannon, as we honor Angel Babies in our community who have made a real difference for kids in crisis.

"I’ve Got You Babe"
Wednesday, February 4, 2009
5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Sheraton Grand Sacramento
1230 J Street
Sacramento, CA

The health risks for children born to women who abuse drugs during their pregnancy are huge.  Infants suffer from low birth weight, infections, poor motor skills, learning disabilities, and neurological problems. In Sacramento County, an estimated 15% of women who give birth each year are abusing drugs.  Children exposed to alcohol and drugs before birth have multiple physical, mental and social needs.  And, substance abuse by a parent is involved in over 75% of child abuse and neglect cases.  In these cases, families require extensive assistance from the health care, social service, legal and educational systems for many years.  Mercy PRN has served over 1,200 at-risk women since its founding in 1997 - providing comprehensive treatment services through which women may establish lives of hope and healing for themselves and their children.

By supporting the “I’ve Got You Babe” event, 100% of your donation will go towards bringing healthy babies into the world. Now, that’s something to sing about!

Sponsorship opportunities are available at the $1,000 to $10,000 levels.  Individual tickets are also available.
